Mar. 2011 Update:

Gospel For India has purchased land near the outskirts of Raygada, Orissa, which will become the headquarters of the GFI ministry in Orissa. This is a great and encouraging victory for us. Plans are underway for the construction of an orphanage, and there is a large portion of land that is also available adjoining this land, on which the ministry has placed a down payment. The land is next to two large villages in which there is no gospel work, so it is strategically located for outreach.

Also, this is riverfront property and access to water is very important. In the picture to the right we are walking around the property that GFI purchased and dedicating it to the Lord, as well as believing God for the funds to purchase the adjoining property. We need $40,000 to purchase it, then building necessary facilities for the orphan and mission centers will be about $35,000. By the grace of God $2700 has been given already. We have six months to get the finances together, so we are appealing to our partners to help us. I am prayerfully making plans to go to Orissa this May during my next trip to India from April 16th through June 20th. We will also by faith lay a foundation stone for the orphanage. Perhaps some of you reading this would be able to help us purchase the land. This would be a fantastic missions project for a church or youth group or a foundation to get involved in! We need your help to do this and we are trusting God that together the work will get done!

We currently have two New Hope Children's Home orphanages - one in Kerala and one in Orissa. Below is a slideshow of children at the orphanages.

In Orissa GFI started an orphanage with 65 children soon after the persecution in 2008. Children were left behind as orphans as their parents were killed by Hindu fanatics. Because of the urgency without any basic facilities, in a temporary muddy hall we accommodated these children, and since then we have been praying to buy a piece of land near a developed area where they can get basic facilities and go to school, market, and hospital, etc. By the grace of God we were able to sign a contract for a piece of land near Rayagada City, we need to pay $38,000 for land and another $30,000 for building facility for 100 children. If God is speaking to you to be a part of this urgent need of this orphanage Project; please stand with us by your valuable prayer and support.

Gospel For India has adopted 40 tsunami orphans since March 2005, and is building a facility for accommodating 100 orphans and planning to adopt many more suffering and underprivileged children in near future as Lord strengthens us. We may not be able to change the world, but we can make a difference in the life of one child.

To that one child, it might mean fresh water, one good meal a day, the opportunity to learn how to read and write or something as simple as a safe place to play. Our world just might be a better place tomorrow because of the difference YOU choose to make today.
