Mar. 2011 Update: By the grace of God we were able to distribute sewing machines here in this area to poor women. Gospel For India has developed a Vocational Training Center with three sewing machines in this tribal village and has trained 30 tribal women with sewing machines women in tailoring. After training, they demonstrate their skill by sewing a school uniform for an orphan, then some are presented with sewing machines (as funds are available), enabling them to provide a living for themselves. What a great blessing it is to assist those less fortunate than us to provide for themselves.

Poor girls look for jobs to support themselves and families. Often recruited by agencies that make false promises. Far from home with nowhere to turn, many are led into prostitution. The GFI Tailoring School is the response to the burden placed on the heart of Pastor Abraham for these daughters of India. A one time help of $150 will provide for the six months of training necessary. Upon graduation, GFI provides the sewing machines and equipment for students to start their own business and change their lives forever. Five years ago in Nepal, GFI started a similar school but added a beauty school as well. Because of the schools, countless lives are dramatically transformed. These students are now serving and thanking God for the help they have received.
